ADVANTAGES OF MEMBERSHIP NETWORKING AND IDEA EXCHANGE
A network of communication exists in GSHMM to provide an excellent opportunity to share strategies and outcomes among other purchasing and materials management professionals from other organizations.
EDUCATIONAL OFFERINGS
- Society Annual Meeting- an educational conference held each Spring designed to appeal to those new to our field as well as the seasoned professional.
- GHA Convention- a program for the society offered in conjunction with GHA's Annual Convention each January
- Telnet Programs- a distance learning session offered through GHA's teleconferencing system.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Members have the opportunity to gain valuable leadership, volunteer and networking experience by serving on committees and in elected and appointed officer positions. Committees include membership, sponsorship, legislative, education and special projects.
COMMUNICATIONS
Members are apprised of current healthcare issues and happenings via internet. All information can be accessed through www.gha.org.
NEW MEMBER PACKETS
GSHMM has developed an orientation packet to acquaint new members with the society and its opportunities for education and participation. Additional information about GHA is included for the healthcare professional.
GHA NEWSLETTER Each society member also receives GHA's monthly newsletter, GHA Today, as well as periodic updates on applicable legislative activity.
